Photography (Orange Fixie!)

Back to all photos

The orange fixie! OnOne Pompino frame, powdered in matt black by Armourtex Ltd.
Standard Quest stem from The Bike Shop, Harrow. Headset is a Cane Creek S1.
650mm bars were found in Cycleopedia's stock room. I sawed 3cm off each end to make it less unwieldy around town.
Surly Crosscheck steel fork that I originally rode in the Tour D'Afrique as part of my titanium bike and then replaced with a carbon fork.
Velocity Deep-V rims from BrickLaneBikes. (Also available in a dozen other colours.) I lost of skin on my thumbs putting tyres on. If they weren't orange, I would have stuck with Mavic Open Pros.
Pro-Lite Sardinia Track Chainset from ChainReactionCycles. 46T
Kore platform pedals from CRC. Orange foot trap from BrickLaneBikes. I had to sand down the little plastic nubs with a dremel for this to attach cleanly.
Deore XT disc hubs. Reversed to run a fixed gear.
Using a VeloSolo 18T cog, mounted directly onto where the disc would normally go.
Spank Tweet Tweet seat clamp in 'zesty orange'.
Orange 'Fly' saddle from BrickLaneBikes. Kind of regretting this now because it's already starting to get dirty.
Avid Single Digit 7 v-brakes, on front and back. Hooked up to Avid Speed Dial 7 levers.
From the front.
What's left of my old bike that was destroyed in the accident. Rear wheel, seatpost and pedals were still good so I've stripped those off.
Handlebars, frame and fork however, were not...
